SUBJECT AND OBJECT OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT CONCERNING THE COMPUTER PROGRAM UNDER THE LEGISLATION OF RUSSIA

Abstract

The purpose of article — identifying, if a definition of subject of license agreement on granting the right to use the software (computer program) stated in Civil code of the Russian Federation is correct in correlation with its object.
According to the results of analysis the author concludes what is a subject and what is an object of the license agreement on granting the right to use the software. In some cases the subject of agreement is not obviously expressed in the contract, which requires a differentiated approach to the formulation and interpretation of conditions of each specific license agreement.
