INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN JUSTICE: CURRENT STATE AND PROSPECTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to issues of digitization of the judiciary and the use of information technologies in the judiciary. Digitization is gradually covering various spheres of life in Ukraine, including the judiciary. And the use of information technologies in the judiciary, in various forms, is available in most countries of the world. The relevance of this topic is due to the introduction of mandatory registration through the Electronic Cabinet. In recent years, the judicial system has been unable to function normally. Thanks to the introduction of information technologies, it is possible to ensure continuous access to the court in non-standard conditions. Digitalization is of priority importance for the further formation of the effectiveness of the judicial system and the improvement of the state system in general. Digitalization helps the judicial system to keep pace with technological progress and meet the modern demands of society. Digitalization can provide continuous access to the court when it is impossible to work in the usual mode, the use of technology will allow the participants of the court process to work remotely, which provides greater flexibility and efficiency in the organization of the work process. Digitization can help ensure access to justice for people with different types of disabilities or needs. However, the introduction of information technologies has its problematic issues. Currently, the use of these technologies is possible by connecting to the Internet. It will not be possible to use all the advantages of information technologies if there is no Internet. The use of information technologies will allow to automate and optimize many aspects of the court process, reducing the time needed to resolve cases.
