Publication Ethics

The editorial policy of the collection "Odesa National University Herald. Jurisprudence" is focused on the observance of ethical norms adopted by the international scientific community.

The activity of the editorial board in this direction is based on the recommendations of the Publishing Ethics Committee, as well as the valuable experience of authoritative Ukrainian and international magazines and publishing houses. An important condition for accepting articles for publication is the availability of new original research results that have not been published before.

If the material has been previously published, the author should provide the wording of bibliographic references to previous publications and the relevance of the publications to justify the new version, explaining the nature of the additions and changes made to the latest version of the article.

Any controversial issues (financial, academic, personal, etc.) are carefully considered by the editors. If the suspicion of possible / detection of plagiarism or falsification is confirmed, the article will be rejected.

Editors should consider retracting a publication if:

  • it contains material or data without authorization for use;
  • the research findings have previously been published;
  • the article has serious errors (e.g., the misinterpretation of research findings) which call into question scientific value;
  • the author(s) failed to disclose a conflict of interests (as well as other violations of publication ethics);
  • the article was republished with the consent of the author(s);
  • there are other violations of ethics.

The collection allows authors to retain copyright without restrictions.

All questions regarding the ethics of publications that arise between the authors and the editors and are not regulated by this document may be governed by international COPE standards.
